Painted With Joy
small original paintings created from our hearts to yours
About the collection
When we discovered what we now teach as our “Painting for Joy method,” we very quickly knew it was something we needed to share. We started offering monthly Painting for Joy sessions and also continued the practice for ourselves as we were both needing a new and different way to break out of our usual painting routines. In the process, we created many, many small little paintings that just felt so joyful to create and look at. Some even felt like little worlds.
We decided to finish them up and adhere them to sweet little boards. Together, we have lovingly named them our “Painted With Joy Collection.”
You’ll notice we have them priced at very affordable price points. This is with intention.
We know joy can feel hard to come by, now more than ever. If we’ve learned anything in light of the current events unfolding around us in the US, it’s that joy is not a frivolity. It is a necessity. We feel it is our mission as visual artists to put work into the world that both brings joy and also serves as a reminder of our shared humanity. We consider these little paintings an offering from our hearts to yours. A little something you can hang on your wall at home or at work, or give as a gift…something that says,
“There is still beauty in darkness. Joy is all around us. We are never alone.”
If you prefer to shop in person, these little bundles of joy (and lots of other originals and prints) are on display and available for purchase at the studio during our open hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays or on days we have a class.
We will also have them beautifully displayed in our booth at The Green Lake Fine Art Show at Green Lake Town Square in Green Lake, WI on Sat and Sun Aug. 9 and 10.
If you’re interested in experiencing our Painting for Joy method for yourself, join us at Town Square Community Center on July 31 or Aug 2 or at the studio on Aug 16.
